Spokane is a town in Washington and a setting for Phase Two of Operation Grendel during the events of World War 3: Sinister Operations.
World War 3: Sinister Operations[]
During Phase Two of Operation Grendel, the Korean People's Army and their Iron Hand allies invaded the town in order to find and exterminate One Direction member Harry Styles, who is really hiding in Los Angeles. Following the blitzkrieg invasion, Olivia Coons is called in to fight against the Korean People's Army in the town while Mason Davidson and Lev Raskov are sent to Los Angeles to protect Harry Styles, upon hearing that the Iron Hand failed to find him Spokane, but instead found Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
Following the invasion, the US Army Rangers were sent into Spokane to repel the Koreans, unaware that their real target was not The Force, but Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan (who were hiding in the town while Harry fled to Los Angeles).
The Force was dispatched to help the US Army Rangers defend the town, as well as protect Louis and Niall.
Trivia[]
- The part where Koreans invade the town for the first time is a reference to Red Dawn (the 2012 remake ).
- Spokane is bombarded a lot during the book; first Koreans firebomb Riverfront Park and Duncan Garden, Manito Park. Then the Iron Hand shells the downtown area with artillery.
- It is also the first city in which the self-aware cyborg army fight against both their US Army enemies and their "hostile" human owners.
